Workers at Universal Studios Hollywood theme park voted over 98% to authorize a strike after NBCUniversal failed to make significant movement on much-needed wage increases, affordable and accessible health insurance, and fair staffing. That means they can walk off the job at any moment.
As you may know, NBCUniversal will be the broadcast home for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Their coverage of the Paris games generated $1.9 billion in revenue, and gained them millions of new subscribers. The upcoming games in Los Angeles look to make them billions more. But despite their success, the company is failing to do right by their workers.
Workers deserve better, and are prepared to strike and fight for what they deserve. But they can’t do it alone, and we ALL need to be ready to show up and support them if they make the decision to walk off the job!
Sign on now to pledge: I am prepared to stand with Universal Studios Hollywood theme park if they choose to go on strike – and I will not cross the picket line!
